The problem with being Vegan is...

The problem with being Vegan is, not everyone understands what it is.

I remember when I worked on a cruise ship. They had many sections, but the one I was most scared of having to run, was diets. For those that do not know, diets are for people with special dietary requirements. Why? Because if I am honest, at the time I was a meat eater who was super unhealthy.

My life took a different turn, so I had the opportunity to be Vegan and healthy. That's not to say,  all Vegans are healthy, because the reality is, their not. 

To be a die hard Vegan, raw juicing etc when your busy, you need time to plan your meals, cook them in advance. Otherwise, you my find yourself eating junk food as most, Vegan foods are quite expensive to buy when your out and about.

I am truly grateful for that time, as I now have a better understanding of not, just Vegan dietary requirements, but, others such as gluten free. 

I have been in the, Mental Health hospital for 15 days now and the meals have consisted of Curry and rice, Bean stew potatoes and veggies. Italian pasta and veggies. At Todays Lunch, there was not a meal for me at the time. After having to complain, a meal arrived

and dinner, the same two meals came as at Lunch. However, an alternative salad came with beans. I appreciate the effort, but, it made me realise how little people know, about Veganism and alternative dietary requirements.

I know from experience, it can be a little scary, a little like what the fuck is Veganism? what do these people eat? I get that feeling of being scared to get it wrong and not knowing what to cook. So I was not to offend when I received this,



Mixed drained beans served with Salad and fresh orange. 

Just to slimifly Veganism, or what I dont eat;

We don't eat 
  1. Meat
  2. Dairy
  3. or any thing which is a by product of an animals, such as eggs.
  4. Honey
Again, the effort is appreciated. Looking forward to tomorrow delights... 

Food helps release the Dopomine and other good hormones that make people feel good. Food can be a conversation starter. Food can make a bad day great.
